My husband and I were wandering down Duval Street a couple weeks ago and a particular piece of artwork caught his attention.

Next thing you know we are in the showroom with the art dealer talking about pricing and payment options.

We haven't purchased it yet but are definitely saving up to buy our first piece of art!

The artist's name is Stephen Harlan and here are some examples of his work. The first one is called "Midnight" and is the piece we plan on purchasing.

I decided it was time for a bit of a change on my site.

I really wasn't fond of the last layout. I thought the sidebar was entirely too big and the navigation looked bulky.

I've done away with the main navigation bar at the top and decided to incorporate those links through out the site.

I still have a bit of fine-tuning to do though.

Starting this coming Wednesday I'll be attending a Butt and Gut Bootcamp with a few girls from work.

As of right now I am really excited about it! I know that that will change though on Wednesday when I won't be going right home after work to catch up on The Vampire Diaries - such a good show! - and cuddling up on the couch with my furbabies.

I've never been one to exercise really. Maybe a walk here and there but that would be the extend of it. The Bootcamp is only once a week so I'll think (hope) I can handle it.

Wish me luck!

How are you starting 2014 in a healthy way?

I thought in order to honor this darling day I should share with you some of my favorites from Etsy.
Historians do not know when the idea of a straw was first invented, though it is believed to be very old. The first known straws were made by the Sumerians, and were used for drinking beer, probably to avoid the solid byproducts of fermentation that sink to the bottom. The oldest drinking straw in existence, found in a Sumerian tomb dated 3,000 B.C.E., was a gold tube inlaid with the precious blue stone lapis lazuli. Argentines and their neighbors used a similar metallic device called a bombilla, that acts as both a straw and sieve for drinking mate tea for hundreds of years. --- Wikipedia

I'm usually not one to complete her New Year's resolutions.  In fact most don't last a week!  I have a problem with see things through.  Something I must work on!

I thought I would put together a list of goals I'd like to accomplish this year.  Maybe by calling them goals I just might be able to achieve them!

Be a Better Blogger I start off pretty good but loose steam after a bit.  It's not that I don't enjoy blogging because I do.  I just get side tracked.

Read More I have a library card and don't really use it for anything but renting movies.  Even then it's usually the same movie every time.  Have you seen Alice?!  Actually where is my library card?

Decrease My Smoking It's a nasty habit. And it's an expensive nasty habit.  I've quit cold turkey 4 times already and have gone back to it.

Cook More The last bit of 2013 I have been cooking a bit more.  It's off season so shorter hours but less money.

What are some of your goals for 2014?
